G1A-4 Preview: Competitive district promises another tough race.

What they’re saying: "It seems like our girls program is really going to explode. We've got some freshman that are out this year that seem to be picking it up. They started in July and they seem to be picking it up really well. We've got some girls that have really been all of a sudden just like, 'Wow, look at these girls.' It's going to be an interesting year. It really is."

On the leaders: "We've got Winder back. She had a surgery on the first day of competition last year that ended her season. She was a regional qualifier her sophomore year, so she did not get to compete last year. She's one of them that's looked really good this summer. Cruz was a regional qualifier last year. Daughenbaugh was in a really tough weight class last year and there were just so many good girls that weight class last year in our district. Angela Win was a regional qualifier. They all won a match at regions, at least one match, some of them won two and they've all been working this off season. They all went to Pennsylvania to camp and they've always got smiles on their faces no matter how hard I ask them to work and no matter what I asked them to do."

On girls growth: "I teach PE and I try to recruit every kid in the gym. I would say out of every five kids that come up to me and ask me about wrestling, I would say three of them are girls,"

Outlook: The Titans were one of the pioneer programs on the girls side and this year they should see continued success.
