What they’re saying: “This year’s team is still very much in the middle of a rebuild, but we are in a completely different position than we were a year ago. We have more than doubled the size of both our boys and girls programs, which has created more competition in the room and given us much more depth throughout the lineup. Even with such a young and growing team, our expectations have not changed. We expect to compete as one of the top teams in our area and continue building a winning culture at Belleview.”

On building the program: “We are not trying to simply rebuild Belleview back to what it was before. We want to build something bigger than that. Our goal is to create a program where winning becomes the expectation every year and where we consistently compete for district, regional, and eventually state-level titles. Part of building that culture is being willing to wrestle the teams we want to become. We are intentionally bringing strong programs such as IMG and other top teams into tournaments at Belleview because we are not interested in protecting a record or avoiding difficult competition.”
