What they’re saying: "It feels good. Obviously I'm probably say some of the same stuff every year, but this year I'm really enjoy the group. Tipper is definitely a kid that I can't believe he's a senior already. Last year he was injured for more than half the season. It's kind of a bummer that he only got 22 matches last year. I am hoping he will be healthy this year. The training's going good. The work in the room is good. Ryan Fain putting in a lot of work. Yeah, it's a good group of guys."
On moving to 2A: " I'm probably more used to being in 2A and having Lake Gibson and Jesuit and Riverdale from all those years and I guess Somerset moved up from 1A to 2A. So that's going to be interesting too. Jensen Beach, for years and years and years, I respect the hell out of Tom McMath. He's one of the guys. He runs an excellent program up there. So, I'm really looking forward to, competing with those guys. But yeah, we had to change pretty much our whole schedule. We'll still see some Dade County schools here and there, but I had to really pretty much change the bulk of our schedule for this season."
Outlook: The Lions move to a new class and region and look poised for individual and team success.
