What they’re saying: “I'm expecting them to be scrappy. We have a group that's been bought in and working really hard this whole off season and we've done a good job with camps we've gone to and getting some matches and hitting the weight room consistently and put in a lot of training from last season until now. We're looking to be scrappy and we have a couple guys that have come back that weren't with us last year and they've worked hard and been bought in."

On the youth on the team: "A lot of them kind of got thrown to the fire last year. It was a very big sophomore group and I think they came together as a group and felt their friendships and brotherhood and they stuck together all offseason and I think it's trusting what's being preached and taught to them in the room and at the same time. I think there's a drive and that's in all of them and I think they uplift each other and it's been cool to see them mold and grow and as that group. The younger guys even beneath them have latched on and have attended whatever it was that they were going to whether it's workouts or a tournament or at camp so on so forth. It's been cool to see them all grow together and they're all excited and they pick each other up when they're down and, they push each other when we're doing conditioning or when we're drilling or whatever the case may be. And it's been cool."

On being in a new district: "We're always doing our homework on anyone that we're going to face and I would say that we're staying aware of who's out there. There's some definitely tough teams. Obviously, Hernando year in year out is always a top-notch program and Crystal River's stepped up in the past couple years. They're very tough and Citrus has been on the climb too. There's plenty of tough teams and we've got all of them on our radar, but at the same time we're more so just staying aware of what they've got going on but we're more so just focused on us and staying in our lane, staying focused on us, keeping our heads down, working hard, and chasing some tough matches and tough opportunities and, just focused on our individual growth, our overall program growth. And, we're really just focused on ourselves."
