2A-15 Preview: Two state champions to pace district, battle for top spots
BY BRANT PARSONS — One of the biggest moves of the reclassification this offseason was putting Somerset and Mater Lakes together in 2A-15.
The two teams have combined to win the past three Class 1A IBT titles and in 2025, Somerset won the Class 2A title.
Kabra Wrestling Rankings are updated every week all season long for Kabra+ members.
Last season: Archbishop McCarthy brought home nine district champions and won the district by almost 100 points, 260-167 over runner-up Dillard.
How did Kabra do?: We nailed the big season that Archbishop McCarthy had, picking them to win both district competitions. We weren’t as sharp with the rest of the district with Dillard and Deerfield Beach having solid seasons and going 2-3.

Wrestlers to watch:
The favorite: Somerset. The Panthers said goodbye to two state champions but return six state placers and as what has become a habit for Somerset, they’ll reload with more young talent.
