What they’re saying: "We feel really good about where the program is now. And we felt good about that for almost probably upwards of, 10 years, if not a little bit longer, but maybe the results didn't really match how we felt or maybe there was an uptick or whatever, but we really got it cooking right now. I feel really good about this squad. They've worked really hard. Some of the kids that weren't state qualifiers are just been just busting theirs and it's kind of a fun little junior group. We got a bunch of juniors that I feel like can make some real big noise. I think we're a deep team this year. Obviously an injury too could really throw a wrench into that, but the work's been put in. I really comfortable feel good where they're at."
On dual challenge: "We feel good about our depth and the ability to move pieces and the elephant in the room is the dual season's now based on, do you make it to state duals or not, For us, two years in a row we've lost kind of heartbreakers to Flagler to go. And what makes it even tougher this year is like we got to beat Flagler and even wrestle Hagerty to go. So I'd be lying if I didn't say that wasn't on our radar. That's what we're aiming to do. I don't know if we can get it done. I don't know if the results will match the process, but we're aiming to try to make state duals again. We're really trying to get there."
Some to watch: "The two kids that have put in every ounce of everything is Dylan Leamon and Sullivan Harkins. They've done everything and they've done it for summers and summers. They both have dads that are committed to it, so even if we don't go to an event, they both do. And, they're the kind of kids that are jumping on those summer teams. So, those two I'm excited about what they can do this year."
Outlook: The Bobcats are deep this season and should see success as a dual team and with some IBT wrestlers with eyes on high spots on the podium.

What they’re saying: "We've got a handful of seniors that have, three years of experience and one with four years of experience. We also have a handful of kids with two years experience and these guys are finally starting to find their groove a little bit. A lot of them since I took over two springs ago, they've been here just about anytime I open the door. I think they're finally starting to fall in love with the sport a little bit. They're finally start to understand the reward that comes from discomfort."
On his approach: "Last year I talked a lot more about future than I ever have before and I shared a lot more about my past three years, and what I've been through just because I want the kids to understand that practicing when life sucks, when that boyfriend or girlfriend is making you cry, and all of that stuff that teenagers go through, it is building you up for what's to come later in life. The daily struggles that we go through as a wrestler, as an athlete, that it will make things easier whatever the path is you go down after high school. Whether it's college, straight to work or military or when you get a family, all that stuff."
On Aiden and Kaiden: "They've pushed themselves and whatever tournament we've went to, they've said, 'You know what? I'm gonna go to this tournament over here because I think there's going to be this guy that I really want to wrestle. I think he's going to be over here' so that they've been seeking out great competition. That goes back to I don't think we're intimidated by what it says on their singlet anymore. And what's funny is those two doing that has started to rub off on some of our other people."
Outlook: Two state qualifiers will lead the room, but the story here could end up being how tough this unit gets as a team.
