Wrestlers to watch:
The favorite: Lincoln. The Trojans return the most in the district after graduating just three starters from a year ago.
Team to watch: Middleburg. The two-time defending district champions graduated five state qualifiers and have a few holes to fill from a deep room.

What they’re saying: "They've been killing it all summer and we tried to put them through the ringer the best we can and we stepped up to some great challenges especially at our big tournament this summer wrestling great teams. We really trying to get them tested and pushed them and it's kind of a crazy year too because our senior classes they are very good, the junior class is pretty good and then we've got a crazy influx of little brothers that are all going to be ninth graders that are going to be all very good as we keep moving forward. It's actually a good year for those guys to be stepping in because we'll have the right timing for them to be trained up."
On team goals: "The first thing is we really would love to make the trip back to dual state. It's going to be tough though. I mean especially with Gulf Breeze and I think the two of us are really tough and it's interesting matchups when you kind of look and see how the dual meet might fall, especially when you're dealing with guys like them because Bird's so good at doing math just like Jake is. So they'll find every little point they can squeeze out of you when they're trying to win a dual meet. It's going to be pretty fun. We're in a good situation to win a bunch of dual meets which will be great."
On three seniors: "Our main three seniors, we're excited for them. We really like Luke and Juan and Daniel's chances about what they could do. Pretty excited for two of them already having medals and, Daniel losing in overtime to get a medal last year at the state tournament."
Outlook: The Trojans might have their best depth in years and if they can find the right spots and stay healthy, they could make their return trip to Kissimmee for the state duals.

What they’re saying: “A new look for us, having graduated a large group of seniors that had been in varsity roles nearly their entire careers. New faces will be stepping in and looking to make an immediate impact given the opportunity.”
On graduating iconic senior class: "It's been the same guys for the past four years. All of them have been in a varsity role throughout their whole career, and so we're going to have a lot of new faces. They've brought a level of success that I don't think Middleberg has ever really seen. So we definitely have big shoes to fill. I think the group that we got right now is more than ready to fill those shoes."
On this year's schedule: "Our schedule was fun last year. We competed a heck of a lot. We had a few guys hurt, but they got hurt at the beginning of the year so it's not like the wear and tear of the season really affected our guys. It was more wear and tear on me. I wasn't really giving myself a chance to go back and nitpick technique as much as I'd like go back and watch film because it felt like we were just on the go. So we adjusted a little bit. We've got a couple new tournaments that we're going to go to this year and see some teams that we didn't get a chance to look at last year."
Fun stat: Harvey enters the season with 149 careers wins and would be the first in program history to hit 200. The senior is also looking to become the program’s fourth 4x state qualifier.
Outlook: The Broncos said goodbye to a deep group of seniors but the cupboard is not bare and this year’s mix will be full of athletes ready to make an immediate impact. Middleburg is looking to return to the state duals and get their first individual boys state champ.
