All-Time region finals record | How they got here

Flagler Palm Coast: 1-1, in 2023, the Bulldogs defeated Hagerty in their first region final appearance.

The Bulldogs beat Oakleaf and then edged Buchholz to return to Kissimmee.

Hagerty: 1-4, This is the sixth region final appearance for the Huskies.

Hagerty was dominant in the first two rounds, beating South Lake and Ocoee.

These two teams meet again in the region final after the Huskies won their first last season. Both teams could field double-digit numbers of ranked wrestlers this weekend.

This region final might be the most exciting in Class 3A on Friday. We’ll go with Hagerty coming out on top by a tight margin.

3A-4 Region Final

All-Time region finals record | How they got here

South Plantation: 0-1, This is the second appearance for the Paladins.

The 3A-14 runners-up bettered Douglas and Coral Springs to earn this trip.

South Dade: 8-0, The Bucs have won seven state duals championships.

The Bucs battled Columbus and SW Miami to book a return appearance.

South Dade enters the weekend as the favorite in Class 3A after finally getting their full lineup healthy and proving their strength in the district duals and opening region duals round. They may not have as much room for error, but the seven-time state duals champions are still the team to beat.

There are a few weight classes that will have some intriguing matches and the Paladins are the favorite at some of the weight classes too so there will be things to watch here. South Dade wins region duals title No. 9.

3A-2 Region Final

All-Time region finals record | How they got here

Palm Harbor University: 1-1, this is the third time in the region finals for PHU.

The Hurricanes beat Plant City and then topped George Jenkins to advance.

Venice: 0-0, This is the first appearance for the Indians.

After battling Newsome in the region quarterfinals, the 3A-8 district champions beat Bloomingdale to book a first Kissimmee trip.

Palm Harbor University is back in the region finals for the first time since 2020 and the Hurricanes have been performing well throughout the season. They enter the weekend with five wrestlers in the Top 10 and could place a ranked wrestler in nine of the 14 bouts here. Venice is making its first trip to the state duals.

Neither team has state duals experience in the lineup, so each will be getting its first taste of the fun. Palm Harbor University is a little deeper from start to finish and that will be the difference here.

3A-3 Region Final

All-Time region finals record | How they got here

Freedom: 0-0, The Patriots are making their first appearance in the region final.

The Patriots earned their first trip to Kissimmee with wins over Viera and Fort Pierce Central.

Wellington: 5-2, The Wolverines reached the state final in 2022 and 2025.

After beating Dwyer, the 3A-12 district champions defeated Olympic Heights for the second time to reach the final.

12 ranked wrestlers helped lead Freedom to their first appearance here in the state duals. The Patriots don’t have many weak spots in the lineup. The Wolverines are back for the seventh consecutive season and field a lineup with some proven hammers in it.

The way these two sides match up, it could come down to who wins a couple unranked matches. In the end, Freedom might have the edge with numbers and should advance to their first-ever state semifinal on Saturday.
