VOTING CLOSES AT 5 P.M. ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 11.
The nominees for the boys WOW…
David Beltran (Coral Shores): Stunned the top-ranked wrestler at the 1A Kick Off Invite.
Marcus Bouie (Sandalwood): Finished in first place at the Arlington Optimist with a 7-3 over the No. 2 wrestler in his weight class.
Renzo Cooligan (Hagerty): Knocked off the No. 3 wrestler in his first tournament to take the Clash of the Titans title.
Howard Hill (St. Johns Country Day): Pinned the third-ranked wrestler in the finals of the Class 1A Kickoff.
Chris Schnobrick (Olympic Heights): Knocked off the top-ranked wrestler in his weight class with a hard-fought 4-2 win in the H-Town finals.
Draven Thompson (Winter Haven): Made an early season statement with a commanding performance at the Danny Byron.
The nominees for the girls WOW…
Julianna Caisse (St. John Neumann): In a highly-anticipated battle of returning state finalists, she knocked off another top-ranked wrestler 11-7 in the final at Freedom.
Grace Jawulski (Brandon): Topped three ranked wrestlers to finish first at the Ben Richards Memorial.
Rebecca Marin (Doral Academy): Pinned #1 and #2 in her weight class at Let Freedom Ring and looked dominant.
Mekialla Mauvais (Orlando Freedom): Punctuated her team's weekend with an exciting title in the final bout over the top-ranked wrestler.
Sarah Walsh (Middleburg): Beat a two-time Knockout champion from Georgia by pin enroute to a commanding performance in the finals at Freedom.
Vanessa Whitelock (Admiral Farragut): Won all of her matches by a fall in a weight class with 11-ranked wrestlers at Let Freedom Ring.
