BY BRANT PARSONS — Apologies to our Monday district competitors (and to 2A-1, who has already started today), the amount of work to get the boys rankings ready for the postseason couldn’t be completed in time to preview their days.
Matches to watch
We can’t promise that these will happen as we may not know of intended weight class changes or those who are injured — but if these matches take place, we think they’ll be ones to watch.

120: #2 Dominik Baxter (Pace) vs. #3 Garrett Ferguson (Gulf Breeze)
They’re set to potentially meet in the finals. Ferguson is a two-time state placer, but Baxter won 6-1 the last time they faced (at Super 32 Early Entry).
126: #10 Ryder Cohen (Gulf Breeze) vs. #4 Joshua Waring (Pace)
One of Waring’s two losses this season is to Cohen. Looks like our rankings may need an update after this one.
132: #5 Aden Cortez (Pace) vs. #7 Isaac Vosburgh (Fort Walton Beach)
These two could meet for the first time (according to our records) in the final of a deep bracket.
215: #16 Chris Walsingham (Arnold) vs. #18 Tristen Steele (Mosley)
The Arnold junior won the lone meeting between the two by a fall.

These two haven't met yet but this is a highly anticipated matchup.
175: #9 Brendon Whiting (Heritage) vs. #14 Elijah Weatherly (Sebastian River)
They’ve faced twice this season with Whiting winning both, one by fall and one by a 12-7 decision.

113: #3 Adrian Rojas (Miami Christian) vs. #4 Jason Ramirez (SLAM Miami)
Ramirez is a two-time state placer, three-time state qualifiers and Rojas has had a big season as a seventh-grader. The future could become the present in this one.
215: #15 Andre Hepburn (Miami Central) vs. #16 Hamari Abraham (SLAM Miami)
They’ve met twice this season and Hepburn has come out on top both times with big bonus point wins.
285: #13 MichaelAngelo Alvarez (Reagan) vs. Jamarcus Girtman (Miami Edison)
They haven’t faced according to our records, but each have reached the region tournament once before.
