Matches to watch

We can’t promise that these will happen as we may not know of intended weight class changes or those who are injured — but if these matches take place, we think they’ll be ones to watch.

G1A-1

130: #6 Jordan Herron (Chiles) vs. #7 Adalyne Fowls (Gulf Breeze)

The two have met twice this season with each wrestler getting a win. Fowls won by a fall at the Mulligan Memorial and Herron avenged the loss in the Lady Trojan final.

135: #21 Catalina Lowery (Pace) vs. #23 Emily Myers (Mosley)

These two have split their meetings too. Myers got the first win, a pin at the Mulligan and then in the quarterfinals of the Lady Trojan, Lowery won by fall.

145: #19 Cherry Lewis (Fort Walton Beach) vs. #21 Amelia Pena (Lincoln)

In the one meeting between the two this season, Lewis won by a fall at the George Mulligan Memorial.

100: #5 (Rylee Beville (Cocoa Beach) vs. #6 Aniyah Whayne (Kissimmee Osceola)

These two haven't met yet but this is a highly anticipated matchup between the two region favorites.

105: #10 Kailyn Brooks (Davenport) vs. #13 Joyce Blanc (Heritage)

In their meeting this season, Brooks won by a fall all the way back in the first weekend of December.

130: #14 Olivia Gapud (Viera) vs. #15 Elysse Fredenburg (Cocoa Beach)

Fredenburg won their first two meetings this season (MD, F), but Gapud got one back, winning 2-0 in the Cape Coast Conference final. Side note: Watch for #17 Elisa Medina (Tohopekaliga) and #19 Hailey De Meglio (Harmony) in this weight class.

190: #12 Bella Wall (Harmony) vs. #13 Bailey DeVries (Kissimmee Osceola)

In their one meeting this season, Wall edged DeVries 8-6 with two takedowns in the third period for the come-from-behind win.
