The nominees for the boys WOW…
Bryan Battles (Tohopekaliga): Went undefeated 7-0 at the Hurricane duals and won Most outstanding wrestler.
Nikolas Blake (Hagerty): Kid was dominant at Johnny Rouse Invitational Tournament! With teams like Winter Springs, SW Miami, South Dade, Lake Gibson, George Jenkins, NSB, Satelite.. I see a State Title in his future.
Ian Blanton (West Nassau): Ian got is first win at 157 in a hard fought match vs Fleming Island after being cut below his left eye from Fleming head gear, he got accidentally kicked in the privates and maintained his composure to continue to score and secure a win.
Ciaran Braton (FA-Leesburg): Undefeated and relative dark horse.
Jasper Croom (Florida High): Won Top 3 battle 10-9 to finish atop a talented weight class at Bobcat Round Robin.
Danthony Delgado (Royal Palm Beach): Lost In First Round, then came back all the way to get a 3rd place finish win over the district champ of 3A D11.
Matyas Dercsar-Kovacs (Cardinal Gibbons): He won the Chris Hixon Classic and beat the number 4 ranked wrestler in the state in 1a.
Lucas Flannery (Yulee): Outstanding Lightweight at Yulee Duals, Pinned and TF’d all matches in first period.
William Harvey (Wakulla): William has had a phenomenal start to the 2025-26 campaign with huge wins over top finishers at the Georgia and Florida state tournaments over the first two weeks of the season.
Corbin Helm (Hernando): Undefeated and relative dark horse.
Landon Keck (Viera): Landon went 5-0 this weekend at the Bulldawg Duals, capped off by a Major Decision victory over the #10 Ranked Wrestler in 3A (Oceola)
Jonathan McPherson (Ocoee): 5-0 on the week. Majored a Rhode Island state placer in semis and majored the #10 132 in the finals on his way to 1st place.
Samuel Mazman (Belen Jesuit): Went undefeated (8-0) with seven pins this weekend wrestling at the Flinchum Classic and Joe/Mac Duals.
Benjamin Mitts (Clay): Because he's pretty good, and went 4-2 at Smoky Mountain Duals in Tennessee
Cody Rich (Buchholz): Currently ranked 16th in 3A but has a major decision win (15-6)over the number 8th ranked 106 in 2A this past weekend at the bobcat round robin tournament in Gainesville, along with going 7-1 at the tournament only losing to a Camden GA kid
Carter Rivera (St. Cloud): Finished top scorer, top wrestler at a brawl, didn’t give up a single take down during the entire brawl. Earn trophy for best wrestler there.
Zaiden Rodriguez (Lake Brantley): Zaiden opened his season by winning the Golden Triangle Invitational without surrendering a single point and winning all of his matches by pin (0:50, 0:16, 1:08).
Aiden Sanders (Parrish): Went 7-0 at Coach Kelly Memorial Duals, pinning the third ranked wrestler and with a last second takedown in another match to avenge his loss from the summer.
Israel Jestin Serrano (Celebration): Competed at the Scramble at the Ranch this past weekend in Davenport and went undefeated both days finishing1st.
Bear Siegal (North Bay Haven): Beat two state champions on his way to winning the Ryan Blackwell and raising his career win total to 198.
Jovanni Tovar (Miami Southridge): Reached the finals at the prestigious Walsh Jesuit Ironman in Ohio.
Demo Vogiatzis (East Lake): Won Fit2win tournament while beating #15 kid in 1A with a second period fall and #12 kid in 3A.
Skyler West (Fort Pierce Central): Is undefeated on the season.
Ben Wolgamuth (Hagerty): Ben is our Hagerty Wrestling captain this year and consistently shows strong support for his teammates. After overcoming an injury last season, Ben’s full recovery has been truly motivating. This past weekend, he demonstrated his talent and leadership by helping our team achieve top placement in the Johnny Rouse tournament championship bracket.
The nominees for the girls WOW…
Aava Barberena (Riverview): Placed 1st at two tournaments in a week (Ben Richards and Cougar Clash) , beating girls ranked above her both times.
Sayuri Caceres (Lincoln): She won Girls Bobcat at 100 and won most outstanding wrestler, and won whatever tournament that was at Ponte Vedra
Madison Carroll (Gulf Breeze): “Steady Eddy” trains in BJJ and wrestling, goes above and beyond, Won Queen of the South 100lbs, could be her breakthrough year.
Abigail Gonzalez (Miami Southridge): Won the Ironman in Ohio as an unseeded wrestler.
Jaiden Hight (Foundation): Has shown amazing determination and sportsmanship already taking first in two tournaments with her record this season 9-0. Along with her outstanding performance she has set a great example for the entire team.
Isabella McFarlane (King): Did not give up an offensive point while winning the Ironman in Ohio.
Kiley Vinson (Harmony): Went 3-0 this week with 3 pins all in the first period at 135 pounds at the Grenadier Girls Grappler.
Willow White (South Dade): Finished second in the Women's Ironman.
